Poco distante, vi è un altro annesso in pietra su due piani, usato ora come lavanderia e deposito attrezzi. Questo annesso è in buone condizioni, con il tetto rifatto. A circa 10 metri dalla casa si trova un appezzamento di terreno privato e recintato di circa 500 mq, molto ben esposto e perfetto per un orto o per avere uno spazio esterno proprio immerso nella natura. Di fronte a questo appezzamento, vi è un castagneto da frutto di circa 1.400 mq con alberi di castagno in piena produzione.
Il borgo è molto ben tenuto, è perfettamente situato tra Castel del Piano e Seggiano. Da qui si diramano strade sterrate dove si possono fare camminate di varie lunghezze. Da una parte il bosco con i castagneti, dall’altra la vallata con oliveti e vigneti. Alcune zone hanno grandi rocce di trachite nascoste tra gli alberi che danno una sensazione magica al luogo.
Il borgo è ormai una piccola comunità, con persone che ci vivono tutto l’anno e altre che usano la loro abitazione solo per le vacanze. Si è tuttavia creata un’atmosfera di collaborazione e condivisione.
