The buildings are situated in a flatland surrounded by fields cultivated with wheat and sunflowers near the Arno river.
A preliminary study shows that it could be possible to build no less than 20 small residential units.
The property Il governo is in Quarata, 6 km from Arezzo.
It is composed of 21000 hectares of agricultural land, all flat and merged. Furthermore the property includes 7000 mcof agricultural volumes and a surface of more than 2100 sqm.
The place name Governo appears in the Cadastre of the 1700. Probably it takes its name from an agricultural outpost, with an administrative purpose for a bigger farm. The proofs are the characteristic archs on the upper floors of the oldest building, that were restored as they currently are.
The buildings are farmhouses (1767 mq. e 5975 mc) and accesory buildings (400 mq e 1160 mc.).
The accessory buildings are in a quite advanced state of abandon. They are sheds built before 1967, so according to Tuscan law there isn't any the building sanction and you can restored them.
The complex has been always used with an agricultural destination but there is the possibility to change that destination because it is permitted from the local building code.
The water supply is easy thanks to the near ground water of the Arno river, as well as the electrical ones that are provided by a line nearby.
