Property Code HSH_1545-2023 | Dimora del Mito
On the surroundings of Syracuse we offer for sale a property, unique in its kind, already used as a luxury hotel. It is a 19th-century farmhouse, located on the banks of the legendary Anapo river and adjacent to the Ciane nature reserve where the papyrus plant grows wild and luxuriant.
The property, which is in need of renovation, is divided into a series of buildings and is surrounded by a large Mediterranean garden covering more than 15,000 square meters. The main building, developed on two levels, houses 10 double rooms overlooking the river and others with panoramic views of Syracuse's grand harbor. The building behind is used as a bar and restaurant, while smaller ones house the reception with a large reading room, storage, bathrooms and showers serving the swimming pool. The latter, built above ground with an infinity edge, was designed on the inspiration of the "gebbie," typical cisterns in use in the Sicilian countryside for water supply.
It is also possible, in addition, the purchase of the adjacent land that extends for about 4.1 hectares where it is possible to build other buildings surrounded by large green spaces. The property, immersed in a particular naturalistic context, can be maintained as an accommodation facility or exploited as a private residence for those who love peace and tranquility away from city stress.
