Beautiful rural property surrounded by greenery in a dominating, panoramic location but within walking distance of the local village. Thanks to high ceilings and large windows the house is very bright and the garden almost feels like a continuation of the home. Renovated using traditional stone, wood and terracotta materials but combined with the modern comforts of geothermal under the floor heating supported by photovoltaic panels, the house is comfortable all year round. There are 15,000 square metres of land surrounding the property, with a stable and a fenced field awaiting new occupants!
The area is ideal for those wanting a peaceful retreat away from the crowds but at the same time accessible, being just over 1 hour from Milan, Turin and Aosta. The area lacks nothing in terms of nearby attractions: Oropa Sanctuary, Europe's longest glacial morrain, roman remains, lakes and rivers, Grand Paradiso National Park along with the ski slopes and mountains of Valle d'Aosta (Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn and Monterosa to name but a few) are all accessible on day trips. The French and Swiss borders are also within easy reach and the Ligurian seaside is 2.5 hours away. Several footpaths pass right through the village, including the increasingly popular Cammino d'Oropa.
On the ground floor the house comprises a large entrance hall, a capacious dining/living room, a bathroom, a kitchen and a laundry room; the latter having access to the double garage. Upstairs there are two large bedrooms plus a single room, all of which have access either to a terrace or a balcony. There is also a large upstairs bathroom with jacuzzi. The dining room and kitchen have direct access to a large porch, perfect for outside dining in the summer. In the garden there is a tool shed, a luxury hen house, a vegetable patch and several fruit trees (cherry, kiwi, apple and plum, along with redcurrent, raspberry and strawberry plants). A little corner of paradise in the foothills of the Alps awaits.
