The small town of Manerba del Garda is nestled in the green moraine hills of Valtenesi, and at the same time is bathed by the gentle waters of the lake. The historic centre is dominated by the Rocca, a massive cliff overlooking the lake, where a castle once stood, of which only the foundations are now discernible.
