The history of the “La Riana” Hotel goes back to 1967 when the house was built at an exceptional location on the village outskirts of Perinaldo by a local family.  Thanks to the south facing orientation it offers stunning views over the valley, the rolling hills of the Ligurian Maritime Alps and the Mediterranean Sea glittering on the horizon. Perinaldo with its charming medieval centre and surrounded by olive groves, is the perfect location for those in pursuit of peace and quiet with options for a more active lifestyle, such as hiking, mountain biking or playing a round of golf. The Riviera of flowers with its famous coastal resorts such as Bordighera and Sanremo, where the English middle classes and European aristocracy rubbed shoulders as early as the 1900-s, is only a 30 minute drive down the road.
The nearest coastal town Vallecrosia is 13 km away and the international airport Nice (France) connecting with all major European cities as well as North America and Dubai, can be reached within the hour. There are yachting harbours in all neighbouring coastal towns and the Côte d’Azur with Menton and Monaco is just a short drive away.
Perinaldo is a lively village with an intact infra structure where to find shops to cover the daily needs as well as a bar and three restaurants. In the early summer, Perinaldo plays host to an international music festival.
The solidly built hotel “La Riana” has been in the hands of the same owners since it opened; in 2001 it was completely overhauled and modernised by the current owner. Split over 4 floor levels plus extended attic, it measures some 550 qm in size with 10 guest rooms, a 50 qm attic flat, one restaurant and two dining rooms with adjacent service rooms.
A spacious garden terrace with BBQ invites for al fresco dining or sunbathing. Almost all rooms have balconies or terraces with sea view or view over the town. A private car park right next to the hotel offers space for 7 cars; further parking facilities are nearby.
The ground floor main entrance opens into a hall and connects with the lobby with reception and lounge area; a room divider separates the restaurant and the bar. Panoramic windows allow for beautiful views over the sea. From the lounge, there is access to a small terrace and to a large garden terrace. Also on this floor level are two guest toilets and a storage room.
A staircase leads from the ground floor hall to the upper floor levels. On the first floor are 5 guest rooms, three of which have sea view, four rooms have a balcony and one room has an 42 qm terrace. There are 5 further guest rooms located on the second floor; three of which have sea view and balcony. The attic flat has three rooms, one bathroom and a roof terrace.
The layout of the rooms and halls was decided at the start of the construction phase and it should not present a problem to alter the layout in order to accommodate apartments.
The lower ground floor is connected by a spiral staircase from the lounge or can be accessed externally from the garden terrace. Located on this floor level are a banquet hall with access to the garden terrace, the kitchen, a sanitary area and a number of service and storage rooms. South and west facing windows allow for plenty of light to flood the banquet hall. If one were to change the overall layout, this floor level could accommodate a wellness and fitness area.
Technical equipment:
The hotel is fitted with oil central heating which also provides the hot water. The windows in the restaurant area and the lobby are made of aluminium; all other windows are insulated, made of wood and fitted with electric blinds.

La storia dell’Hotel “La Riana” inizia già nel 1967, quando l’edificio viene costruito da una famiglia locale. La posizione alla periferia del pittoresco villaggio di montagna di Perinaldo è esposta. L’esposizione a sud apre una vista panoramica da sogno sulla valle, sulle catene montuose delle Alpi Liguri Marittime e sul Mar Mediterraneo che scintilla all’orizzonte. Perinaldo, con il suo incantevole centro storico medievale e i suoi dintorni coltivati a ulivi, è il luogo ideale sia per gli amanti della tranquillità che per i vacanzieri attivi. Dall’escursionismo alla mountain bike, fino al golf, l’offerta di attività per il tempo libero è molto ampia. La Riviera dei Fiori con le famose località costiere di Bordighera e Sanremo, il cui clima mite tutto l’anno era già apprezzato dai ricchi inglesi e dagli aristocratici europei intorno al 1900, è raggiungibile in 30 minuti d’auto, mentre la città costiera diretta di Vallecrosia dista 13 km. L’aeroporto internazionale più vicino, quello di Nizza (Francia), con voli diretti per tutte le principali città europee, oltre che per il Nord America e Dubai, è raggiungibile in un’ora di autostrada. Ci sono porti turistici in tutte le città costiere vicine e la Costa Azzurra con Mentone e Monaco è a pochi passi.
Perinaldo è un paesino vivace con una struttura urbanistica completa. Oltre a qualche negozio per le necessità quotidiane, ci sono un bar e tre ristoranti, e all’inizio dell’estate si svolge il Festival Musicale Internazionale.
L’Hotel “La Riana”, di solida costruzione, è stato gestito dai proprietari fin dalla sua apertura; nel 2001, gli attuali proprietari hanno completamente ammodernato e rinnovato le camere. Disposto su 4 piani più un sottotetto ristrutturato, offre circa 550 m² di spazio totale con 10 camere per gli ospiti, un appartamento mansardato di 50 m², un ristorante con due sale da pranzo e i relativi locali di servizio. Un’ampia terrazza con giardino e barbecue invita gli ospiti a cenare o a prendere il sole. Quasi tutte le camere dispongono di balcone o terrazza con vista sul mare o sulla città. Un parcheggio di proprietà dell’hotel con 7 posti auto è a disposizione degli ospiti direttamente vicino all’hotel. Altri posti auto sono disponibili nelle immediate vicinanze.
L’ingresso principale al piano terra conduce, attraverso un’anticamera, direttamente alla hall con reception e area lounge, separate da un divisorio, mentre il ristorante e il bar sono adiacenti. Le finestre panoramiche offrono una splendida vista fino al mare. Dal salone si accede a una piccola terrazza e all’ampio giardino terrazzato. Un ripostiglio e due bagni per gli ospiti completano questo livello.
Una scala conduce dal vestibolo al piano terra ai piani superiori. Al primo piano si presentano 5 camere per gli ospiti, di cui tre con vista mare, quattro con balcone e una con terrazza aggiuntiva di 42 mq. Al secondo piano si trovano altre 5 camere per gli ospiti, tre delle quali con vista sul mare e balcone. La mansarda ha tre camere, un bagno e una terrazza sul tetto.
La disposizione delle camere per gli ospiti e dei corridoi è stata progettata al momento della costruzione in modo che, se dovessero essere trasformate in appartamenti, sarebbe possibile dividerle senza grandi modifiche.
Il piano interrato è accessibile internamente dalla zona lounge tramite una scala a chiocciola o esternamente tramite la terrazza del giardino. Su questo livello si trovano una sala banchetti con collegamento alla terrazza giardino, la cucina, un’area sanitaria e vari locali di servizio e di deposito. Le finestre a sud e a ovest garantiscono un’illuminazione ottimale della sala banchetti. In caso di cambio di destinazione d’uso, questo livello potrebbe essere utilizzato per ulteriori appartamenti o anche per un’area benessere/fitness.
Attrezzature tecniche:
L’hotel è dotato di riscaldamento centrale a gasolio, che viene utilizzato anche per l’acqua calda. Le finestre della zona ristorante e della hall sono in alluminio, tutte le altre finestre sono in legno (con vetri isolati) e sono dotate di tapparelle elettriche.

L’histoire de l’hôtel « La Riana » débute en 1967 lorsqu’une famille du village décide de construire ce bâtiment. L’emplacement en bordure du village pittoresque de Perinaldo est idéal. L’orientation plein sud offre une vue panoramique magnifique sur la vallée, les Alpes maritimes ligures et la mer qui scintille à l’horizon. Perinaldo avec son charmant centre-ville médiéval au cœur d’oliveraies est l’endroit idéal aussi bien pour ceux qui recherchent le calme que pour des vacances actives. De la randonnée au VTT de montagne en passant par le golf, les activités ne manquent pas. La Riviera des fleurs avec les villes côtières de Bordighera et Sanremo, déjà appréciées des riches Anglais et de la noblesse européenne au début du siècle dernier pour son climat doux toute l’année, est à 30 minutes de route, la ville côtière la plus proche, Vallecrosia, est à 13 km. L’aéroport international de Nice, à une heure via l’autoroute, propose des vols directs vers toutes les grandes villes d’Europe ainsi que vers l’Amérique du Nord et Dubai. Des ports de plaisance se trouvent dans toutes les villes du littoral et la Côte d’Azur avec Menton et Monaco n’est qu’à deux pas.
Perinaldo est un village vivant à l’infrastructure intacte. Outre quelques petits commerces pour les besoins du quotidien, il y a un bar et trois restaurants. Un festival de musique s’y tient au début de l’été.
L’hôtel « La Riana » est un bel immeuble géré depuis le début par son propriétaire. En 2001 les actuels propriétaires ont fait entièrement moderniser et rénover les chambres. Sur 4 étages, plus les combles aménagés, il offre 550 m² de surface totale avec 10 chambres, un appartement de 50 m² sous le toit, un restaurant avec deux salles ainsi que des espaces de préparation et de rangement. Une grande terrasse de jardin avec BBQ invite les hôtes à venir diner ou profiter du soleil. Pratiquement toutes les chambres ont un balcon ou une terrasse avec vue sur mer ou sur le village. Un parking privé de 7 places est à la disposition des clients directement devant l’hôtel. D’autres parkings se trouvent à proximité.
L’entrée principale au rez-de-chaussée donne sur une entrée qui mène directement au hall de réception avec un espace lounge, le restaurant et le bar, séparés par une cloison, sont attenants. Des fenêtres panoramiques offrent une belle vue allant jusqu’à la mer. De l’espace lounge il y a un accès à une petite terrasse et à la grande terrasse du jardin. Un débarras ainsi que des toilettes pour les clients complètent cet étage.
De l’entrée au rez-de-chaussée un escalier mène aux étages. Au premier étage se trouvent 5 chambres, dont trois avec vue mer, quatre chambres ont un balcon et une chambre a en plus une terrasse de 42 m². Au deuxième étage il y a 5 autres chambres dont trois avec vue mer et balcon. L’appartement sous le toit a trois pièces, une salle de bain ainsi qu’une terrasse.
L’agencement des chambres et couloirs a été pensé dès le début de façon à pouvoir les transformer en appartements sans gros travaux.
Le sous-sol est accessible de l’intérieur par un escalier en colimaçon situé au niveau de l’espace lounge de la réception ou de l’extérieur par la terrasse du jardin. À ce niveau se trouvent une salle de banquet avec accès à la terrasse du jardin, la cuisine, les sanitaires ainsi que diverses pièces pour le rangement et la préparation du service. Des fenêtres au sud et à l’ouest font de la salle de banquet une pièce lumineuse. En cas de reconversion de l’immeuble cet étage pourrait accueillir des appartements supplémentaires ou devenir un espace détente ou fitness.
Equipement technique:
L’hôtel est équipé d’un chauffage central au fioul utilisé également pour l’eau chaude. Les fenêtres du restaurant et de la réception sont en aluminium, toutes les autres fenêtres (à double vitrage) sont en bois et sont munies de volets électriques.
