A legend tells that near the Fortress Gianciotto Malatesta was slain in 1304. He, some years before, killed his wife Francesca and his brother, Paolo, the lovers celebrated by Dante. The actual renovation project foresees the recovery and the valorisation of this fortress, which is very important for the local history and could become home to a congress centre, a fitness centre and a luxury home.
