Stefano is a spacious apartment in the heart of the historic centre of
Penne. It lies close to the main piazza,
and is wholly located on the first floor of a large building, built in
1629. Some of the features of the shared
courtyard, with it’s spectacular entrance, are thought to be of an earlier
period.
The
internal layout (approximately 94sqm), maximizes usage of space and comprises:
Entrance
hall, spacious living room, large kitchen, 2 double bedrooms, bathroom with
bath-tub and bidet.
Externally,
access is shared, but part of the covered vaulted porch is utilized as outside
space, with room for plants and a table and chairs.
The
apartment itself was fully modernized, in a sympathetic manner, around 12 years
ago. Many period features were retained,
including an old terracotta tiled floor in the majority of rooms. A particular feature is the height of the
vaulted ceilings, generally in excess of 4 metres. All windows are double glazed, whilst the
ones overlooking the street are also shuttered.
Gas central heating is installed throughout. A wood-burning stove was recently installed
in the open fireplace.
Four
apartments share the access courtyard and external stairs, which underwent a
substantial renovation in recent years, designed to highlight the abundant
historic features of the original palazzo.
The current
owners installed the kitchen, and have introduced modern and functional
furniture, to blend in with the period features. The kitchen is included in the price, and it
is possible to purchase the furniture.

condividono il cortile d'accesso e le scale esterne, che sono state oggetto di
un’importante ristrutturazione negli ultimi anni, progettata per esaltare le tante
caratteristiche storiche dell'edificio originale.
Gli attuali proprietari
hanno installato la cucina e introdotto mobili moderni e funzionali, in
perfetta armonia con gli elementi del periodo. La cucina è inclusa nel prezzo,
